My art skills have gotten better when I did this project. I say this because it taught me how to draw a person correctly and proportional with the full body since it was something I struggled on. It also helped me learn how to paint better and mix paints, and taught me that sometimes you have to just step away from something and come back to it. I could have took my time more on my art work and not be a perfectionist and second guessed myself on how certain things looked. All in all, I learned many things during this project and throughout art class this semester.

My inspiration for this project was Christmas was coming up and I know my mom is the one that does mainly everything for my family to have it, so I decided to make her this. I put duct tape on the canvas that spells the word mom on it. I then Painted the canvas black and let it dry, the next day I took off the tape and painted in the white parts blue and then added on a couple decorations for the side. I learned how to layer paint better and take my time when putting things around it. All in all, this project was easy and took a bit of time but I enjoyed doing it and my mom also loved it.
My inspiration for this project was at the beginning of the year I couldn't think of what to make so I grabbed a sketch paper and just started to sketch out a person and then thought of the idea to do myself from a picture I had gotten taken of me. I drew this to on a sketch paper so make sure it was how I wanted it, I then scratched the back of that sketch paper super dark and layed it on top of the canvas. I then drew over the sketch again and again until the person was dark enough to see on the canvas. I then drew out my back ground and began on paint with acrylic paint. I started with the bleachers, and went down to the floor but I had a problem with the coloring of the floor for a few days and took a break on the painting over all. In English class we created a poem, and mine was about basketball so I decided to finish this painting up for that class with the help of mrs. Neisen with mixing paints. I learned how to mix paints better and get the shadows of certain characteristics that would be too difficult to officially paint. Overall, this was a pretty difficult task but I'm happy with the way it turned out and I'm happy I decided to finish it.
My inspiration for this was that Maya and I were messing around when everyone else was in the language arts room learning about stealing others art work. We got the charcoal out and I started random sketching different things and at the end I decided that the heart I did would turn out the best and look the coolest. I sketched out a heart shape and then blended the charcoal in. I then colored in the whole thing and then blended all of that together. All I used for this project was charcoal and a piece of paper. I learned that for past drawings (Michael Jordan) using something like this would have been much easier to use. All in all, this project was very quick and simple and had a good turn out.
My inspiration for this project was I looked up cute things to spray paint on Google and these words came up. I switched up the idea of the other person because they did it with melted crayons and I did it with spray paint. I used masking tape to tape on the words, and many different colors and types of spray paints. After I taped the letters the way I wanted them, I sprayed them over with all the spray paint, let it dry, then peeled the tape off and decided to leave the letters white. I learned how to mix the different colors and make them blend better and have better texture. The only thing that was a struggle was that you couldn't make the letters too big or they wouldn't fit, and they couldn't be too small or they wouldn't look right. This project was a easy and quick, and turned out very well.
My inspiration for this drawing was because I wanted to do something different than I usually have. I started on sketching out the Mickey Mouse and after I finished with this I drew the hands with a pencil. I then thought about how I should put color to it and had decided on pastels. I then colored in all the areas but his hands and the hands on the background. I struggled on making sure the pastel stayed in its own area since it would move around a lot and my hands would have a certain color and rub on another part.
My inspiration for this painting was by looking up cute things to draw on Google to get some ideas. It started with me seeing a painting of an all black background with a red tree, but the more I painted it, I didn't like it. So I decided to then paint an elephant because I've seen them on black backgrounds many times. I used paint, a Panal, sketch paper and a pencil. I drew my sketch on a sketch paper then used a certain pencil to then scribble it on the back of the paper so when I placed the sketch on top of the black background and traced over it by the front, the pencil marks showed up so I could easily trace them with the white paint. I struggled on the left eye looking the same as the right eye, and I learned you can only cover up certain mistakes so much before it becomes its own lair compared to the others.
My inspiration was from seeing Alex's paining of a volleyball in a heart form, and I thought it would be a cool idea to do a basketball one for my room. The design of this painting started on a piece of paper, I drew it on a sketch paper then flipped it over and used a special pencil to scribble where it was on the back, I then put it on the wooden canvas and traced it onto it with a colored pencil. After the sketch was drawn on the canvas, I painted the basketball then the background. I had difficulties because I started the black lining first, and didn't allow it to dry and the orange got mixed in with it. To fix that problem I took a hairdryer and dried it before I began on the orange, and then fixed the black lines after. I then added my last years basketball number to top it off.
